New screen works but dark

I'm trying to get the new screen that I installed to brighten up. I can see the screen contents using a light source but have not had any success. Thanks for your time in helping me with a possible solution.

Answer this question I have this problem too

Is this a good question?

This would be a very good answer if the MacBook Pro 15 Unibody used a LCD or an inverter. The LED backlighting doesnt have an inverter like the ccfl backlight does (this is one of the advantages of led technology).

Yes, exactly what I meant to say:-) If I would have any up-or-downvotes left I'd use it today; been working on to many backlights lately.

Did you get part #661-5847? Does your machine work OK with an external monitor? What was the source of your replacement?
