Can a logic board from 2011 be replaced with an other model?

My logic board in my MBP Unibody early 2011 is crashed. Do I have to replace it with a logic board from same year or can I use for example a logic board from 2010?

No - the parts catalogue shows all the '11s swap, but not with any other year.
