Samsung Laptop R530 hard drive enclosure requirements

Hi. Please can you tell me what spec sata hard drive enclosure I would need for samsung R530?

As laptop stopped working and I don't want to lose photos and files.

Not a tech person and don't know if need 2.5 or 3.5 inch and if needs to be USB 2 or 3?!

Thanks

Update

Ok - I purchased the below product

http://www.amazon.co.uk/Bipra-SATA-Adapt...

Hooked it all up but my drive shows no files and 100% free space.

Thinking the drive may be damaged and files/photos etc non recoverable.......

Answered! View the answer I have this problem too

Is this a good question?

Thanks for all the advice. I have ordered a drive adapter so hopefully this will work and the HD is not damaged and data can be copied.

I did press F8 on the laptop to see if it would go to a recovery page where I might be able to restore to when it was last working. Must admit dont know what I am doing as I am useless with comps.

When I did this it took me to a Samsung Recovery 4 programme but it got stuck on 'please wait' - Do you think this means no data got wiped and it just failed (I switched laptop off after realising it was just stuck) as I am worried data may have been deleted via this recovery and the adapter will no longer be an option!

Hoping the please wait meant it failed to load, just as the laptop is failing to load pass the windows boot up screen.

Thanks.

Usually the recovery programs do not override your data. Those programs in general only focus on the OS and do not reformat the drive. So your data " should" be okay.
