Black screen after repair

Hi,

I have broken my iPhone 5 screen but everything else was working well. I have ordered the display screen repair kit and managed through all the steps apparently with success.

Just before closing my iPhone 5 for real I had the screen mostly working besides some white thick vertical lines appearing.

I shut down the device and closed the screen (screwing the pentalobes back in place) and... now it's all black with a faint light (mostly on top of screen.

I opened it again and checked the connectors but with no luck. Now the screen is desperatly black any idea where I could fix this ?

[Edit : i reset the battery with no better luck]

Answer this question I have this problem too

Is this a good question?

Can you hear any noise from the device or is it just dead?

The phone works (access through itunes, iphoto, etc.). I see a faint dim light at the top but the rest of the screen does not respond anymore.

Do you mess up the screws for securing the connectors of screen assembly?

Sounds like you have a bad LCD. If the connectors are seated properly, then you shouldn't have any white lines or flickering, and it should be completely touch-responsive. I'd get a new front glass.
