Multiple rows/areas of display show black/dead pixels. Suspected faulty LCD.
Does the A1286 late 2008/ Early 2009 15.4" Macbook pro anti glare version support newer generation of LED display? Maximum resolution supported on the old LCD display is 1600x1080?
Are there any guide on replacing Anti-Glare LCD displays with the metallic colored bezel?

No - it's a mater of the VGU/VGC you could find a compatible replacement display but "upgrades" aren't possible.
