How to replace the rear case?

I have an iPod Touch 4th gen, and I'm looking forward to replace the rear case, I found it on eBay but there's no guide. Is it replaceable ? I assume that it have some sort of housing inside the metal case, it is glued down? it is possible to reuse the old parts?

New case should come with internal plastic frames. Remove everything from the old device and install it into new one. You may also need new adhesives, including the copper tape.

It is highly likely to damage the button control cable and the battery, so my advice is to simply cut them, get new cables installed into the new case, install the logic board with touch panel cable connected, then solder the new cable. Finally install and solder the battery. It is the correct assembly procedure in the factory and actually a lot easier.
