Teardown For Changing The CPU

Well I have the above machine which I got refurbished from the Apple Store.

It has the i7 3.4 Ghz CPU, but I have an i7 2700K here. Now I know I cant overclock or anything like that but I would like to swap them out so I have the fastest one in my Mac.

My question is : Can I use the teardown instructions for the 21" model CPU replacement (EMC 2428) for this one as well ?

I dont see any CPU teardown for this 27" model, only the smaller 21". Are the connectors and screws at the same positions ?

You have a i7 3.4 GHz processor and want to replace it with a 2.7 GHz processor? Why?

No, thats not correct. The i7 2700K is a 3.5 Ghz part.
