Hi Guys,
I just switched from an iPhone 4 to Android (HTC One) today. HTC is nice so far, but I’m having trouble transferring data from my old iPhone to android. Is there an easy way to transfer all my data especially text messages and contacts from my old iPhone to my new HTC One?

I also switched from an iPhone 4S to Galaxy SIII Android, so here is my two cents:
Getting photos and videos from your iPhone to your Android is pretty easy. Connect your iPhone to your PC/Mac, choose Import pictures and videos option to import them on your PC or Mac. Once you have them on your computer, you can easily transfer them your Android phone. With a Google account you can manually backup your iPhone contacts to your computer using iTunes. For this you need to open iTunes and plug in your iPhone to your computer and then select your iPhone in iTunes. Under the ‘Info’ tab, choose to Sync Contacts with Google Contacts. Done! I guess there is no direct way to transfer text messages from iPhone to android.

Yes, it can transfer all your data from iPhone to Android except iPhone apps. Still I would suggest you to download free trial version so that you can test this program by yourself.
I may remind you that you will need to connect both phones to your PC while transferring files from your iPhone to your HTC android phone. I'm telling you this just because you mentioned that your iPhone keeps disconnecting when you try to connect it via USB cable.

How did u manage to transfer calendar info? I have many appointments currently in my iPhone, and I don't want to sit and transfer manually. That would take me a good week and I don't want to miss any, as most are medical appointments.

I recently switched from iPhone 4S to HTC One X. HTC sync manager was the thing the helped me to move/transfer data from my iPhone 4s to my new android. It takes a few minutes and a computer with iTunes installed to get your most of the data from your iPhone to your new android phone.

To get the contacts, you will need to export them to a vcard file. There is also the transfer program in the Google Play to transfer information to an iOS device, but I do not believe it will transfer SMS. You would have to try some professional phone transfer program like Mobiledic to transfer messages from Android to iPhone 7 or iPhone 7 plus,

It’s very simple my friend you have to first download the HTC Transfer tool from Google Play store on your old iPhone. Then you have to click on the ”Get content from another phone ” option in HTC one’s settings. Now select “iPhone” and choose between a “quick transfer” or a “full transfer”. The quick transfer will simply transfer your contacts over to the new phone but if will chose full transfer then it brings your messages, photos, videos, music, calendar, bookmarks and settings to the new phone.
After selecting full transfer hit “Next” and open the HTC Transfer Tool on your iPhone. Now a pin will be displayed on both the screens, ensure that you are connected to the correct phone and click “Confirm”. Select which content you would like to transfer to your new device, click “Transfer” and confirm it by hitting the “Yes” button in the pop-up box. That’s it!!!!!!!!

Hi !
It is unfortunately officially impossible to transfer data from an iPhone to an android phone. BUT, there are two things you can do :
I am using a Galaxy SIII mini for my android apps dev. and the 1st solution works perfectly.

Actually, I switched from my iPhone to Android because it was giving me too many problems. It keeps disconnecting when I connect it to my PC via USB cable.

Yes. It is possible to transfer photos, music, videos, etc. from iPhone to Android Phone via iTunes and USB cable. But it is really hard to transfer SMS, contacts and apps from iPhone to Android phone. I was scratching my head about how to transfer my all iPhone data to Android (Galaxy S3). This thing called mobiletrans suggested by Andrew helped me to transfer data including SMS and contacts from iPhone 4s to my new Galaxy S3 android. :)

Andrews contacts backup app link does not seem to work. You can use a program called CopyTrans contacts to transfer contacts from your iPhone to android. You don't need to setup Gmail account for this.

You're right, the link was working but now it's redirecting to Apple store. Thank you for suggesting another program but can you please tell me how one can download apps from "Play Store" without a gmail account? :O
You must be connected to a Wi-Fi network on both your old iPhone and on your Android device.
You can use the device switch app to transfer contacts, pictures, and other personal data from your iPhone to your new Android device.
But after downloading to try Mobile Transfer, it works perfectly fine.

in fact, iPhone can not transfer data directly to Android. Someone says that we can transfer data from iPhone to Android or in turn via email, iCloud, even iTunes. but you must backup data from iPhone via iCloud or email on PC. then transfer them to Android via USB. I provide a way to transfer music from iPhone to Android, and U can follow to move other files.
1. Set up iCloud both on iPhone and also laptop. Set up the Windows edition if your PC is with Windows OPERATING-SYSTEM.
2. Start the Synchronize feature of the iCloud in the iPhone options.
3. Sign in the iCloud with the Apple ID on the laptop, and you can to control your iPhone data files at this point.
4. Pick the music in your iPhone and synchronize them in your Computer's iCloud, if you like to put them in selected folders, you’re able to down load the music to your local folder.
5. Transfer music which is on PC to Android Phone via USB.

If you have a Mac, you can import photos from your iOS device using iPhoto.
1. Connect the device to your computer. iPhoto should automatically open its import window and show your device's images and videos.
If iPhoto doesn't open, you might need to turn the option on.
2. Click Import All. Or if you want to import specific items, select those images and videos, then click Import Selected. After your photos import, a dialog will ask you if you want to delete the original photos from your Camera Roll.
3. Choose Delete Photos or Keep Photos.
If you delete photos after you import them, you can reduce the size of your Camera Roll and improve backup and restore times.

If it doesnt show up - then your last chance is the fact that Google should have them synced. Open gmail.com on your PC and sign in with the same Google Account that is on your Android. Under the Google Logo, it will say Gmail, click that and you will see a menu - choose contacts. Now you will see a "more" button - click it and choose to restore contacts. Choose to restore it back 7 days and see if it restores your deleted contacts.
1 Connect your iPhone and Samsung Galaxy to the computer
Before doing anything else, install and launch it on the computer. Then connect your Samsung Galaxy to the computer with a USB cable. After running the program, you'll get the main interface below. Your device will be detected immediately.
