iPhone 4s is eating battery

Hi - ordered replacement battery for iPhone 4S from you. Had it shipped to my mom's US address. Finally got here last night and installed it right away (watched the video, read all instructions). Plugged it in and it works - but there is zero change in battery life. I unplugged it this morning. I have received 3 short phone calls, I have had it connected to wifi for about an hour, and in 6 hours, with no other activity, I'm at 62%.

I was hoping to get a full day out of this phone (I know expecting 24 hours is asking too much).

Am I missing something here?

I would make sure you turn off apps. when your not using them, while on your home screen quickly double click your home button, the row of apps that will appear at the bottom of your screen are all on, to turn them off touch and hold one of the apps till a red - mark appears on all the apps, then 1 at a time touch each app that you want to turn off, this will dramatically increase your battery stand by time.

that was the first thing I did. Apps are off, wifi is off and bluetooth is off. Now, not having touched the phone since the first post, the phone is at 32%

Is the phone getting unusually warm to touch ?

by

It isn't particularly warm, certainly not more than usual. I bought the phone used and in the beginning I was getting a bit over a full day with moderate use. Then battery time started dropping significantly so I ordered the new battery. I've just charged it up again and it is now at 100% and EVERYTHING is turned off. I'll see how it gets through the night. I just thought, all things being equal, that a new battery would give me a bit more juice than the old one. I'm with AT&T - not sure that that would make any difference.

Is it jailbreak? Because my phone is jailbreak and had the same problem with 6.1.2. I removed all cydia apps and test the phone app by app and find that one app (from cydia) was the problem.
