Is it possible to Remove/Replace Metal frame inside Display Assembly?

So I sometimes repair display assemblies for unibody MacBooks. Normally I am just fixing glass and or LCD or cables.

In my current project, the metal posts/frame to which the hinges attach was torn off.

What I am wondering is-- I have taken out the glass and LCD and what is left is the aluminum back and the metal frame attached to it, into which the LCD screws (as well as the camera and so forth.

Is it possible to separate this metal frame from the aluminum back? It seems pretty solidly attached. For me the back is in great shape and I could swap with an assembly that had hugely dented back....but I'm not sure if there is a technique for getting them apart.... or if they are welded or glued so tight it is not possible.

Anybody do this successfully?

Thanks.

No I never got an answer, which I took to mean it's not possible to separate the frame from the back
