coffee spill software damage issues

Hi,

Spilled coffee on my air 13" A1304 model. used all the excellent guides to fully clean the computer, while cleaning it seemed like only the keyboard is damaged, there were no coffee stains above the big black sticker containing the keyboard.

After the clean the computer powers up and the keyboard isn't working, from other Q's i realize i need to replace upper casing, but i am having software probs also. I have two op systems installed on the comp (Mountain Lion and boot-camp Win 7), but i can't access any of them. the win 7 boots up but will but won't finish , it just keeps restarting and asking if i want to repair windows. in the end i get the famous blue error screen.

I am navigating using a usb powered keyboard so i can't use ,the super-drive to boot from disk due to the "one USB port" limitation/

I have no problem doing a complete format, but don't know how.

If the keyboard is the only component damaged, how come i have software issues

Please help!

Thanks

When you were using your system before you spilled your coffee into it was Windows running at the time and how did you shutdown your system. I think that is the clue here on why your Windows session is messing up.

To get around the one USB port limitation you'll need to get or borrow a Bluetooth wireless keyboard. If you have a Apple Store nearby see if you can setup a session with one of their geniuses to help you fix BootCamp, using one of their keyboards ;-}

The other way is if you have a desktop running as a OS-X Server you can share the systems optical drive but you can't boot from it instead you can setup NetBoot (a boot image file). I doubt you have that setup at home.

when rebooting does the bluetooth work straight away? doesn't it require some driver (that might be damaged also)?

If not i can surely get my hands on an apple wireless keyboard..

First using your USB keyboard open prefs and setup the Bluetooth keyboard (very easy to do). As for BootCamp it will take care of MS Windows for you (when you do get it straightened out).
