My macbook pro 13 early 2011 2.3 ghz display wont show up, but when hooked to a external display it shows up perfectly. Ive bought a brand new display assembly to no avail. I think it might be the logic board.

It might be a connector on the logic board, or the data display cable. Use a magnifying glass to check over the connector and cable for damage. That the external works points to internal display chain problem... if it were the Video Card the external would not work.
