rattling sound when machine in spin cycle

After recently running my machine on the 'clean washing machine" cycle I washed a load of my 13 year old son's clothes and during the spin cycle I noticed it sounded as though there were nuts and bolts or maybe rocks rattling around in the drum. I emptied the machine and found no such objects but on washing other loads I continue to hear this rattling sound during the spin cycle. Help please!!
