I want to take the memory from a 2012 macbook which has the I7 processor and put it in a 2009 macbook which came with the intel core duo 2 processor. I upgraded the 2012 to 16gb and now wanna put the 8gb from the 2012 in the 2009. Will the ram from the I7 processor work in the intel 2 duo porcessor?

The nice thing about Mac's are "if it fits - it works". But your ram types are two different configurations and if you hold them side by side you should be able to see the connector pins won't match up.
