Why is my iPod not coming on at all?

yesterday i tried to chrarge my iPod & i noticed that it was coming on strange.when i tried to cut it on it said www.apple.com/iPod/support.so i went to it today & it said that this page can't be found.now the iPod doens't come on at all now.why is it not working?
