Which Playstation 3 are these guides for exactly?

I have the original Playstation 3 that has backwards capability for playstation 1 & 2 games.

Does anybody know if these guides are for the newer ones that do not have this?

Im talking about all the guides except the tear down guide.

The reason why I'm asking this is because I want to make sure that there are no differences between the 2 types of systems and if I need to make a repair then I know I won't break it by mistake.
