Random lock ups and reboots

Got an iphone 4 off ebay, was described as temperamental.

Checked and its definately out of warranty, and it wasnt listed as being jailbroken.

Its got ios 6.1.3 installed.

Phone will randomly freeze, both whilst being used and also whilst being charged.

Was also stuck in a reboot loop yesterday. Would boot to the apple logo then switch off - then loop.

Ive connected the phone to itunes in DFU mode and done a restore but its still the same.

Should this have restored the ios to an earlier version? as it still says its got 6.1.3 installed.

Device is warm around the battery / sim card slot when charging but not excessively hot.

Any ideas on what this could be? Or what I can try next?

You probably need to replace the logic board, but try restoring again.

OK mate, ill try another restore.

If it is the logic board thats at fault - its gonna have to go back on eBay. Cant justify dropping that much cash on something im not going to make any profit on.
