My MacBook do not boot in Sata, just in usb drive

Hi,

I have a problem with my macbook, when turn on, he show gray screen without apple's logo and stay in this screen for hours, if I put the install disk he don't recognize the hard drive inside, just in usb drive. I tried replace the hd for other, repair of disk, repair permissions of disk and disk install, but the problem remain.

If I replace sata flat cable like this guide:

This will solve my problem?

I now stock these hard drive cables for both the 15" & 13" (they are different) machines as this problem has become so common. Save your receipts as I believe there will be a class action law suit on this issue in the future and Apple will have to pay for old repairs.
