3g and 3gs screen repair ordering problem

hey guys i have read that 3g and the 3gs screen look alike but wont work if u rapier ur 3g with a 3gs screen .....

i have one 3g and one 3gs both cracked screen if i order the parts will they tell me what part is the 3g and what part is the 3gs screen plzzzzzzzz help ?
