Processor upgrade from core 2 duo to core i3
Is there any chance to my 24" Imac early 2008 to support Core i3 processor? (i3-370m)

Some people have had success in swapping the old CPU's for an i7. But you need to be very careful in doing your research as Intel makes many versions and only a very few will work correctly. Look though some of the other question posts.
This is one of those things that can kill your system very easily if you make the slightest mistake. Unless you have opened iMac systems up a few times as well as replaced CPU's in other systems before it's not something I would recommend for a first timer.

The answer unfortunately is no. Intel switched to a different socket with the i3. Here's a handy list
