Water damage on my Mac it will not start Please help

I spilt water into the back of my Macbook Pro mid 2010 while it was running. I went to apple and they said it would cost at least $900. Everything is all dry now and there appears to be no rust or damage on the MB. It will not turn on and the charger light is always green even though I know it is not fully charged also the side battery light does not show anything. Should I try replacing the battery or will that just be a waste of money? I don't know if I should just buy a new computer? If you have any suggestions please help me out.

Thanks,

Jake

I get these a lot. The fee usually runs about $500 to fix by a tech ($200) labor included. Replacing the upper case and the MagSafe will fix it 9 out of 10 times if the logic board has not gotten wet. As you can see, the parts are not cheap: MacBook Pro 13" Unibody (Mid 2009-Mid 2010) Upper Case
