I bought the YLOD Kit and started to disaamble my PS3. I got to the step where I take the ribbon out of the Blue Ray player and notice that some of the following step were ytelling me to diconnect things that my PS3 did not have. I researched that I have the CECHHxx model and it looks nothing like the PS# in the youtube video or the one's in the guides. I need help because I am stuck.

I think I had something similar happen to me.
There were references to a thin 'control board" and a memory card reader; neither of which my model had.
There were also extra thermal pads for RAM I did not have either.
As the pieces in question were not photographed or addressed in any manner I just removed them in between the other identifiable steps.
Labels the screws and set them aside in a container. Treat the posted repair guide as loose set of dis-assembly tips rather than explicit instructions and you'll be OK.
