Do I have a bad video card?

My Dell Latitude D620 works fine on a docking station with external monitor but the LCD will not work. It just drifts from yellow to green to blue, etc. I changed the panel and inverter with no help. Should I look for a video card or is this related to the motherboard?

Lewis Fulk, the video card is an integrated component of the motherboard. If your video card would be at fault, your external monitor would not work, thus I am pretty confident that it is not your video card. You obviously have a new panel as well as a new inverter. I would next (should have been first no last :-) replace the LVDS cable and check your connector closely for any damage etc.Hope this helps, good luck.
