The aluminum PowerBook G4 was released by Apple to replace the previous titanium-body model. The 12" and 17" versions debutted in January 2003 with the 15" version following in September of that year.

Re-image after I replace hard drive on G4 A1095?

Good Afternoon!

I have to replace the hard drive to my 17' G4 Powerbook PPC - A1095. Is it necessary to get the drive re imaged or something?

If you old drive has totally failed you will need your system installation disk. If you do not have this and the drive has failed, you can contact Apple, give them your serial number and request an original replacement system installation disk. They sell them for $16.

BYW the A1095 is a 15" machine. For your correct machine please give us the last three figures of your serial number.
