need to change the superdrive

iMac Intel 20" 22 EMC 2133 and 2210

Hi

My superdrive on my Imac is dead...

I would like to know if I can replace the PATA 8X superdrive which I have in it by a PATA x8 Optiarc Superdrive I can buy second hand?

Is that ok?
