need to change the superdrive

iMac Intel 20" 22 EMC 2133 and 2210


My superdrive on my Imac is dead...

I would like to know if I can replace the PATA 8X superdrive which I have in it by a PATA x8 Optiarc Superdrive I can buy second hand?

Is that ok?

Thank you, but I know how to replace it, effect what I want to know is if I can switch one by the other one?


If you mean this drive, the answer is yes: 12.7 mm PATA 8x Optiarc SuperDrive

It's compatable with: Compatibility

All 20" and 24" Intel iMacs with Optiarc drives

(iMac Intel 20" (EMC 2133 or 2210) or iMac Intel 24" (EMC 2134 or 2211) with Optiarc drives)
