Battery does not charge

Hi,

I changed a broken screen on a iPhone 4S, and after reassembling it, when I charge it, the battery shows the icon for a fully charged battery, but the power level is on about 4%.

I searched online and in most cases the battery is the problem, so I tried putting in a battery from a similar 4S - had the exact same result: The phone doesn't charge and shows the icon for a fully charged battery.

I tried multiple chargers, both USB-to-computer and USB-to-wall.

What can I try?

Answer this question I have this problem too

Is this a good question?

Two things:

1. The battery percentage does not change, so I don't know if it's even charging.

2. The phone reboots every two minutes - the screen gives a white flash and then reboots.

hi it may be that the battery needs calibrating, this means that the actual battery power and what the software think are out of synch

please try the following

1) Allow the battery to completely Die

2) Charge it fully

3) Allow it to completely die

4) Charge it fully

This should recalibrate the battery

But the battery indicator doesn't show any change? That is, I leave the phone connected to the charger, but the percentage does not change. Then how should I know when it is fully charged? If it even charges?
