Verizon iPhone 4S Experiencing Screen Discoloration.

Hello,

The issue started about a month and a half ago. It was dropped and the screen has looked like the attached photos (see links) ever since. Every time I put it to sleep and turn it on again, it switches between the screens shown in the attachments. Each one with is own variation, it's very odd...

The first one is the original background picture to give an idea of how distorted it actually is.

I've tried the hard reset and have tried all other software advice including turning the color inverter on and off which leads me to believe that it's a hardware issue.

I purchased the iphone 4s tool kit and took it apart and reassembled it (great videos by the way) but the problem still persists. I attached some photos and I would like to get your expert opinion as to whether this is a result of a loose connection or minor hardware issue or if this is going to require an LCD/Digitizer replacement.

Thanks in advance for any advice and I am willing to try anything.

What you have there is a damaged LCD. Get a good quality digitizer/LCD replacement and use the guide to swap it out. You can also plug it in and test it before you take it completely apart and see that it should resolve the issue.

Hope this helps!

Thanks a lot, i figured that was the case, but thought I'd get a second opinion.
