Dust underneath the Screen

My iPhone5 has dust or dirt underneath the screen. I hear its a common problem, but it annoys me so much. I can't get the phone replaced but I tried to see if the Apple store could open it up and clean it but they could t do it. What can I do to get rid of it? Anyone have any easy tricks?

The screen is fused to the glass. Tue only fix is a new screen assembly, which can be found here: iPhone 5 Display Assembly (LCD, Front Panel/Digitizer Only)

The guide can be found here as well: iPhone 5 LCD and Digitizer Replacement

I managed to open it and clean the space between the LCD and the backlight based on the video from the below link.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SWtwIA9G...

However, it was really really difficult to make dust free. After removing white dusts, black dusts came up. After cleaning black dusts, white dusts came back. You will need an alcohol swab, a clean microfiber towllette, camera lens dust blower (Don't use the one from canister as it sometimes blows some liquid that is very very difficult to clean up), and Scotch Magic tape.

Long time ago, I thought it's sealed around the space, but it was clearly detachable. Try or not try, it's up to you.

Are you sure it's dust? I've seen burned pixels that look like dust. Tilt the phone and look at the LCD from a sharp angle, if the speckle disappears it's not dust.

I purchased a replacement screen through iFixit almost a year ago. Yesterday, I opened my phone to remove dust behind my rear-facing camera and straighten my home button. Once I reassembled my phone, I noticed a small hair and dust particles when the image on the display was white. You can't see them with darker backgrounds but still an annoyance. I don't see how a fused display which had no dust behind it gets reassembled and has dust.

pretty sure I just now accidentally pushed dust under my screen :/ I noticed that the little speaker opening had some dust and what im assuming is ear gunk build up and thought, gross, I should clean that. Used a q-tip with little bit of alcohol and a folded paper corner to clear it out... And apparently pushed some of it under screen at same time. Just posting as a warning to anyone else, don't be dumb like me.

i have the same issue, i figured out that the frame of the screen assemble had an opening at the side which allows little particles into it...this settles at the silvery shiney surpace behind the screen....tried cleaning it but it went off abd left wiped imaging on the main display...need a better solution

Particles of dust can get between the LCD and the sheets of the backlight and they are a nuisance especially on white backrounds . Two ways to get rid of them: replace the whole screen (easy but expensive) or buy a new backlight, peel of the old one carefully, and replace it (difficult but cheap). You will need minor soldering skills to desolder the old backlight and solder the new one. Also you need to take care not to trap new dust particles under the backlight in the process.
