Is a broken LCD connector fixable?

I screwed up bit time with my mother's Imac 27 late 2009. The superdrive was broken and making unbearable noises. Plus there was the flickering screen problem. So I decided to tear the Imac down and remove the superdrive. While putting the mac back together, I broke the LCD connector on what I think is the logic board....

Is there something to do else than replacing the whole board?

Not that you could DIY Repair of logic boards require special tools, solder and lots & lots of practice. You might contact local computer repair/building shops - they could have the tools and experience. If not a complete logic board replacement is called for (you might want a professional to do that since it is advanced DIY repair)
