My I phone wont restore I try dfu mode

If you put your phone into DFU mode correctly and iTunes doesn't see it, the logic board is probably dead. DFU mode will work even if half of the rest of the phone is broken :)

I had a similar situation with a 2nd Gen. phone.

How i overcame the problem was to downgrade the firmware to 3.1.2 using redsn0w.

itunes immediately picked it up and upgraded.

Does ur phone work at all? If so, maybe u re doing smth wrong? DFU is the following: 10 sec Home+Power, the release the Power and wait for ur PC to find it...

Then (if it finds it)) Shift + Restore button it itunes and choose say 313..

thats it should be no problem..

then u can JB it and unlock with redsnow..

I say put it in Recovery mode with recboot .. its a 2 part program one to kick it into recovery mode and one to kick it out of recovery mode. use the first one and then it will show up in itunes hopefully.
