Does this computer work with USB 3.0?
just wondering if this computer has usb 3.0 ports / or if its compatible with usb 3.0

Apple has only begun adding USB 3.0 capabilities to some of their computers over the past year or so. This particular machine is likely a 2006'ish model, which should have USB 2.0 ports.
With that said, you should be able to connect most USB 3.0 devices however they will only operate at USB 2.0 speeds. (35MB/s instead of 625MB/s)
