Is it possible to seperate iPhone 5 screen?

Hi, I have an iPhone 5 with a cracked screen. I bought just the Front Screen Cover Glass Lens on eBay for ~10$ and now I put my hopes and wanted to ask is there a way to separate display from LCD? I think many people will ask this, so this should be helpful for many sad people with cracked screen. Thanks in advance

The digitizer and the display are infused. Separating one destroys another. I'm sorry to say it but Apple raised the repair cost by 1000% after infusing them and making as one part. It's way expensive now. I have come across sellers selling iPhone 5 screen for $249 and more.

I'm not entirely sure but I think it won't be possible to separate the LCD from the glass just like the iPhone 4 and 4S.. So I would buy the whole assembly instead of just the glass.

+ agree with Freek Gille. There will be those that will tell you that they have done it etc. just like with the previous models. The teardown done by ifixit clearly shows that "The front glass, digitizer, and LCD are all one component, thereby increasing cost of repair." from here. Always remember, just because individual parts are available does not mean that you can use them.
