Trying to fix water damaged iPhone

Alright guys, hope you can help me out.

I got this Iphone 4s which is dead from water damaged. It was my sisters, and when se broke it, se took it to some people who tried to fix it by the "drying method" i think, but with no luck.

Now after some months in the drawer i took it out, and to my surprice it turned on when i tried. But the only thing turning on is the LCD screen, nothing else happens. I can only see the screen get a bit lighter. Then it just stays like this.

I am jused to changeing the screen and that by my self, so i just need to know what spareparts to buy and replace.

Any ideas?

You might not need to replace any parts, the only way to find out is to put your phone through a proper water damage treatment and see what works and what doesn't work after your phone is finished and reassembled, here are instructions how to do that, the Guide is done on an I 3 but use these methods on your phone, Repairing iPhone Liquid Damage, and here is a teardown Guide for your phone, iPhone 4S Teardown, good luck, If this answer was helpful please remember to mark it accepted

But are there some main components that usually needs to be replaced when doing this? Because the phone works, its just like it doesnt boot up or somtin

kasper, you definitely want to change the battery. This should not be an option, but a must. After that, re-evaluate the dock connector, the LCD display, worst case scenario are the PMIC and Backlight IC.
