Upgradering the GPU - 6970M

Hello!

I have now upgraded my iMac to the max, dual ssds etc. Yesterday i changed the powersupply because it broke... so i noticed that it shouldn't be THAT hard to upgrade the GPU it should be just as easy to replace the psu... if you find the correct gpu for this machine.

The card that is installed atm is an ATi 4850. I was hoping to upgrade to an 6950/6970. But an 6770 etc would be good enough.

What are my options?

Options

You must use a GPU that Apple supports - else you will encounter firmware/driver problems. At [everymac.com|Everymac ] you can discover the GPUs that were in use in iMacs in 2010.
