MacBook wont boot due to water spill

I spilled water on my Macbook pro awhile back. I opened it up and saw there was some green stuff (corrosion?) on the DC in board and motherboard. When I tried to boot the only thing that would happen was the fan would turn on. Also it had to be plugged in to the wall to work. I cleaned the green stuff and now the fan turns on, the dvd drive makes its little noise, and the computer doesnt have to be plugged into the wall anymore. I still do not get a start up chime or anything on the screen. Beyond cleaning the corrosion up, is there anything else I can do besides buy a new logic board?

Did you actually remove the logic board and check for more damage? Water damaged machines don't always come back to life but they have a much better chance than juice, coffee or beer.

If you've already cleaned everything completely, I'm not sure there's much of an option besides a new board.

The logic board is blown. . . it could be because you used the jumpers to force boot a still wet board.
