My iPod is not turning on at all .

Hi . plz help me if you are an expert .

after discharging the battery the iPod can't recharge and turn on at all , I tried all those things which told me trough the internet ( pressing turn off botton and home botton ) How can I fix the problem ? Even I went to some apple store they told the product is out of warranty and they ask me a lot of money more than iPod itself . Please somebody help me thanks
