Keyboard or Logical Board?

Hi, firstly, sorry for my English, I`m russian.

So, I've split coke on my macbook. I did my best to recover. I waited 5 days to dry. Now the macbook turns on, USB working fine, but the keyboard doesn`t work fews keys and appear that the right click on trackpad is always on. I`ve bought a external keyboard, and works good. except if I push any keys on macbook keyboard, the right click back to turns on.

I don`t know what to do, if it is a logical board issue, is going be expensive, isn`t it?

Thank you.

Based on what you have described it sounds like it may only need a new top case. However, I suggest that you or someone that is familiar with opening your laptop, opens it and checks for liquid damage. I have seen many cases where the spill was minimal and did not make it deep enough to damage/affect the logic board, and only needed a new top case. It is important to verify how far and where the liquid went. Hope this helps!

Hi, thanks for your answer. However, what the most usual diagnostic for a logical board? What symptoms my macbook need to have to assert that.

I`ve realized too that my keyboard knows when I push a key, it respond with a Beep(or a sound like that), perhaps nothing happen, only the alwaws right click syndrom come back. Thank you again.

I am almost certain that your issue will be resolved with a top case replacement. Since you stated that the external keyboard works fine, that is an indication that the logic board should be ok. Your situation is very typical and typically a keyboard/top case replacement will be your fix.
