Is the lower case of the MacBook CD compatible with the C2D?

I have two MacBooks, the one being a MacBook Core Duo the other a MacBook Core 2 Duo mid 2007 Merom Chipset.

I'd like to swap the innards of the two with each other (the one's black, the other's white), so I'd like to put everything that's inside the black into the white one and vice versa.

So I have to know whether the lower cases of these two MacBook models are compatible with each other.
