Maximum Hard Drive Height for Replacement

Looks like the 500GB in the teardown is 7mm - is there any room for a larger drive, maybe 10mm or 15mm?

I was hoping to put in my own 1TB or 2TB drive.

Thanks!

I just installed a Corsair Force 3 SSD that I believe is 9mm - I found you had to slide the logic board forward to be able to properly seat the drive. Ran into a big problem though with one of the logic board connectors (its a small one to the right of the fan above - see pic) that I'm told is for the IR and power light. This connector "seat" snapped of the board... after much fiddling and aligning I glued it back into place so the pins contacted the solder correctly.

Interesting - thanks!

Could you link in that picture, or let me know which step you are referring to in one of the guides?
