Battery problem it is not recognized

My black macbook early 2008 model cannot boot without power with the battery on.

A while ago I noticed that the battery icon in the menu bar was a battery with an X and the charger light green. I thought that my my battery was dead because it was old so I bought a new one. But I have the same problem. The macbook doesn't recognize the battery. It doesnt even charge. I've already checked the battery model in order to see if it is 100% compatible with mu macbook and it is. I don't know what to do.

I've resetted the SMC but I doesn't work. I'm stuck with the battery problem. I also opened the macbook case case to see if the battery connector has any issue but it seems to be well connected to the logic board. I don't know what to do.

OK, thats not good. You'll need to see what your battery is telling you. You can use a few different Apps to do this: Battery Guard or Coconut In addition you should run Apple Hardware Test. Let us know what you discover. Goof Luck!
