Can this piece be fixed

can this piece be put back on while doing a screen replacement and trying to trouble shoot why it wouldnt get a signal this piece and the infamous blue coil both fell off of the logic board http://i31.photobucket.com/albums/c368/A...

Of course. Just resolder it, which shouldn't be the hardest task.

Regarding the blue coil; I have had success with simply just shorting the two "pads" (where the coil used to be soldered to), with some solder.

Also, after the battery has been disconnected, you will have to set time and date in the phone, and reboot it. If this is not done, it will be stuck on "searching", and wont even realize if the SIM is in the phone or not. (It's and iOS6 bug). This is probably what caused your troubles in the first place.

jon you are exactly right thats what caused my problems in the first place and through trying all these genius troubleshooting techniques and touching things i had no business touching the parts came off now im stuck trying to fix it :( wish i would have known this sooner but seriously thank you

Well, with a good soldering iron and a little bit of experience, the work should be fairly easy.

I know how you must have felt, the first time I came across the error, i too thought I had damaged the antenna (or worse).

I am sorry mate, I know no Matt Hill. I am from Europe.
