Where can I get a new front glass?

The glass is broken on my 2nd Gen iPod Touch. I didn't see the glass in the list of parts I can purchase from ifixit. Does anybody know where I can get this?

OK, never mind. I can get it at ifixit. Duh!! I didn't understand the description when I first read it on the front panel. Will be ordering one tomorrow. For now? Time for bed. Up working all night. Thanks to anyone who reads this. The instructions seem doable for me. Used to make cell phones at Moto so not completely useless:-)

I guess we can say this problem is closed then? For reference, you can get the part here.

Thanks...

Got the part today. Ordered it Thursday with ship confirmation Thursday. Shipped via priority mail and received it today Saturday the 13th.!!!! I guess the USPS is working on improving their delivery times. From California to Florida in less than 2 days on priority mail.

Just replaced the cracked front panel assembly. Working great. Maybe better than original. Only question I have is that the assembly seems to sit above the rear housing assembly instead of flush like it was new. Not sure it is a problem but if anybody has any in put I'd be interested.

Thanks ifixit!!

You may want to redo the repair and see if you can put it on straight instead of crooked. And if this answer solved your problem could you please hit the "accept answer" button above it? Thanks.

rab - I find your response more than a bit condescending. In fact it's flat out offensive. So I'm going to do something I have never done before and instead of ignoring you I'm going to tell you to sod off.

Sorry? I certainly did not mean to offend you in any way. If I did inadvertently you have my apologies- I was merely trying to offer some help since you had this problem with it not being flush. But if you'd like to reject everyone instead of accepting people who take time out of their day to try to fix your problems I'm fine with that.

rab- What I can't understand is why you can't see how your response my be offensive. I'm not stupid and as you may know from reading my initial comment is that I have experience with electronic assembly. I can assure you that I did not assemble it crooked and since it is level all the way around the housing it is not an issue of the assembly not being seated fully. Your "solution" was worded in such a way that suggested that I'm some sort of moron. And frankly your request that I "accept" your help gave me the feeling that you are trolling around looking for ways to boost your credentials. It's as if you aren't as interested in helping people as you are in your own reputation. Besides, the front assembly doesn't sit "on" it sits IN.
