Screen separated from glass when trying to open phone?

I recently replaced my iPhone 3G digitizer, frame and home button from an assembly off Ebay. The earpiece and ambient light sensor were not working, so I tried to open up the phone again to check connections. When I tried to do so with a suction cup as per procedure, the glue separating the frame and the glass failed; so I cannot get the frame out of the phone. How do I get the frame out without damaging the LCD (which is fine)?

Take very thin metal tool with hook on end, or just take large paper clip and bend the end into small hook. Carefully go under Home Button and at base of midframe under the Home Button there are two very small holes. Insert pry tool and carefully pull up.
