LARGE 3M adhesive for screen replacement

I have used, up to this point, the small 3m adhesive strips when I replace an iphone screen. (for this example lets just say the 4 and 4S)

I usually take my tweezers and peel off the old before applying the new.

Recently I started purchasing screens that come with a large adhesive. It says that it it not only covers the midframe but the back of the LCD as well. Heres a pic:

Im afraid to try this because I CAN NOT find a tutorial, video or ANYTHING that shows how to use this. If I do it wrong it could possibly ruin a good screen.

Does using adhesive on the back of the screen help with the pressure sensitivity that is common with a screen replacement? Does it protect against those sometimes white blobs you get after a repair?

Answer this question I have this problem too

Is this a good question?
