MacBook late 2008 unibody beeps but still works fine.

Hello,

I have a late 2008 macbook aluminum unibody that beeps 9 times every time i try to start it. 3 short 3 long and 3 short beeps every time. It goes through this cycle 2 or 3 times, until it gives up and boots. Once i log in, everything seems to work fine. The computer is not slow, and it stays cool. I already replaced the ram, and it still beeps. I've been reading for about 4 days now, and i can't find anyone with the same problem. Most of the people get three slow beeps, and it usually is the ram. The people i have found that get the same 9 beeps, are not able to boot into the OS. So i finally gave up and came here to try and get this thing working right. I don't think is anything mayor, because like i said before, once it boots, everything works just fine, as a matter of fact i'm typing this on it.

You need to do a firmware restoration, here's info on it and how to do it:

Firmware restoration from CD in process. See About the Firmware Restoration CD (Intel-based Macs) for more details.

There might be a problem with the 'power on self-test' start up procedure. Something wrong with RAM.

Those beeps do not match the ones my macbook does. It usually goes beep, beep, beep, beeeep, beeeep, beeeep, beep, beep, beep.

I downloaded the Firmware Restoration CD 1.4. Burned it, and followed instructions step by step to restore the firmware, but it keeps ejecting the disk. It won't initiate the process. I never see the loading bar. This thing is driving me nuts. Thanks for all the help by the way.
