Why key board types wrong letters
when i type letter i it prints iu
when i type k it prints jk
when i press home it prints '

Check the keyboard/language selection in System Preferences. You might be able to use a key remapper application to fix this problem. Verify that the problem exists with an external USB keyboard.

If you find the keyboard settings are correct: Did you spill something into the key board? or open up the system? you may need to get a new keyboard. Either the keys are damaged from what was spilled or the keyboard logic or ribbon cable has become damaged.

This just happened to my wife's Macbook, although she hadn't spilled anything on it and it did work fine with an external keyboard. She took it in to the local Apple store and they replaced the keyboard at no charge.
