Maximum Amount of Memory for this MacBook

I had a look at the Memory Upgrade Section on this site for this MacBook and according to the Hardware listed I can use 2GB, 4GB and 8GB memory Sticks. According to apple this Laptop only supports up to 8GB of RAM, yet if I buy 2 x 8GB sticks as per the hardware list here will that mean I get a Total of 16GB?

I don't want to spend the money on 8GB sticks if they are not supported. Thanks again. Only found this site today and its AMAZING!!!!!! LOVE IT

Apple does not confirm 3rd Party ratings (OWC et. al.) of 16GB... others do... however you must use quality first tier RAM, not 3rd tier or knock off.
