Pioneer SuperDrives, though given to rustling (keep an eye on your RAM) and going weeks without bathing (keep an air-freshener handy), are masters of survival. When the day comes to uproot and make that long, arduous journey, you'd better hope the Pioneer is at your side. Claim-staking is inherently cut-throat, especially when it comes to settling on a suitable desk for your iMac or Mac Mini. Thank goodness the Pioneer has the durability and wherewithal to make it happen.
Though hardy, the Pioneer is no simpleton. Far from illiterate, the Pioneer reads and writes at speeds of a finely-tuned two passenger wagon, but enjoys the luxury of needing no drivers.
Requires removing ribbon cable and bracket from your current combo or SuperDrive for installation.
NOTE: Although skilled at surviving in untrodden lands, the Pioneer is not at home in iMacs or Mac Minis which formerly housed Panasonic (UJ-875) drives. Those computers have different mounting slots and require this drive to correctly attach to the optical drive bracket.
