Upgrading the OS from Tiger to Leopard

History

I know the OS upgrades stop at Leopard for Powerpc. I have a 1.42 mac mini with Tiger 10.4. that I just picked up off of Craigslist. Works great! I plan to upgrade the RAM to 1GB.

Is it possible to upgrade to Leopard on this machine?

Yep- that should take 10.5 just fine. Definitely upgrade the memory, though.

Yes, leopard will run on any G4 867Mhz or faster, with 512MB of RAM, so your set, just upgrade the ram, anything under 1GB with leopard will run slower.

Leopard is great on my 1.42GHz Mac Mini - 1GB ram def. recommended. Pity you lose some of the pre-installed apps tho.
