Is a 2011 MacBook Pro 13" LCD and 2012 interchangeable?

I have a MacBook Pro 13" Unibody Mid 2012 with a broken screen and I have a 2011 MacBook Pro 13" LCD laying around. Will it work on the 2012?

I really don't want to fry anything or ruin a perfectly good screen lol.

Apple went with a different connector vendor in the 2012 models so you can encounter issues forcing a 2011 LVDS cable into a 2012 LVDS socket. But that is not an issue for the ever so narrower 2012 cable fitting into a 2011 socket.

I would ask Luis Rossman on YouTube. You has a lot of MacBook repair video and even does these for a living.
